Today, 26 white candles illuminated the sanctuary steps in front of the altar. The candles were lit in remembrance of the 26 parish members who have passed away since last November. The impact of this environment was huge as father read the names of the departed.
The altar cloths should have been changed to white, but were still dressed in the green of ordinary time. We will need to be more attentive to this detail next year.
